Well, not quite. But on Valentine's day, two gay couples attempted to get registered at Chaoyang District Bureau in Beijing. The administrators explained they could not register same sex couples under Chinese law, but they sympathized with them. The couples are not real boy friends and girl friends but they wanted to call attention to gay rights. More on the web page of the Global Times:
